The Smith bar can be disengaged and brought down and you can hooked up to the weights stacks for the weights, so now there is no need for any free weights. With a simple click, you can change your functional trainer into a heavy duty smith machine with extra safety and support. As the user drops the bar down to the position they want, they rotate the bar so it locks in place and then continue to perform their exercise. The bar can be used to do all of Smith bench presses, incline, shoulder, declines, squats, upright rows, and many more exercises can be done with the Functional and the Smith Machine.
If the weight is not enough the innovative weight multiplier feature doubles to maximum resistance to accommodate heavy lifters.
By selecting a manageable weight from the weight stacks, the following exercising can be performed using the smith machine functionality
Chest presses, Seated Military Press, Upright / Bent over rows, Squats, and Calf raises.
With the adjustable pull point in the wide position the user can do cable crossovers, shoulder press, rear deltoid, wide late pulldown, tricep pushdowns / core rotation and abdominal crunches
These are adjustable and can drop down to a low position where the user can do chest flys, shoulder presses, lateral raise, front deltoid, bicep curls, inner / outer thigh and glute kicks.
The pull points can be moved to a higher position to do Lat pulldowns.
